Flats and apartments in Costa Blanca
Apartments (or Apartments Piso) abound in Spain, and many foreigners live in them, especially in large cities and resorts. Resorts such as the Costa Blanca with the cities of Benidorm, Calpe, Torrevieja, Almkante are saturated with residential buildings specially built for recreation. Now in Spain it is difficult to find a plot on the popular coast without a horizon of houses with apartments in the Costa Blanca and high-rise hotels. The construction of residential buildings continues continuously throughout Spain, which indicates that there is still a good demand for this form of real estate.
The quality and size of the apartments vary greatly, from small studios in multi-storey buildings built in the 70s to spacious apartments with marble floors and with all amenities.
The apartments can be located on small streets, where it will always be dark and crowded, as well as near spacious beaches or golf courses. Prices range from €80,000 for a small one-room studio in a less popular resort town (for example, in Alicante) to more than €1,000,000 for luxury apartments in Benidorm and Calpe with all amenities. There are currently not as many deals for the sale of apartments as before, and most of them are carried out in far from popular areas of the country. Most apartments, as a rule, require large-scale modernization and renovation. Apartments in Costa Blanca give you many interesting opportunities, among which it is worth highlighting the possibility of quickly reaching many necessary facilities if the apartments are located in a large city.
According to Spanish law, all owners of this type of property (regardless of their number and size) are members of the community of owners (Comunidad de propietarios) and, as such, must comply with community rules and pay utilities.
The advantages of the apartments include low maintenance costs, security, especially if the unit has a 24-hour security point and the use of shared gardens, swimming pools and other similar facilities. Apartments in Costa Blanca, located in cities, also have an additional advantage, due to the proximity of many major institutions. The disadvantages include only noisy neighbors (but who will be lucky), poor public services and cramped housing complexes on holidays.
