The Kotor-Lovcen cable car has opened in Montenegro.
Montenegro's Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic said that the Kotor-Lovcen cable car, open to tourists, is the most important project in the history of our country when it comes to promotion. He said on Facebook that an object that had been announced for decades had been built in a year."Anyone who ever rides the cable car to Lovcen and sees the magical Bay of Kotor will never forget Montenegro during his lifetime! The ride on the cable car from Friday is free for children, benefits for parents
The trip on the Kotor-Lovcen cable car, from Friday 6. October, will be free for children attending kindergartens, as well as primary school students, according to the Ministry of Education page. The cable car will work every day from nine to 21 hours.
The cable car route starts from the oak tree and leads to the Cook place on Mount Lovchen, at an altitude of 1,348 thousand meters above sea level. The estimated capacity is 48 gondolas at the level of 1.2 thousand passengers per hour, and the travel time from Dab station to Cook station is less than 11 minutes.
The length of the cable car is 3.9 thousand meters, and the height difference is 1316 meters.
The trip takes 22 minutes in both directions.
Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office in Duba, 500 meters from the Vrmac Tunnel.
