According to the decision made by the Immigration Service of Thailand and confirmed by the Consul General of Russia in Phuket, Vladimir Sosnov, Russian tourists can now enjoy Thailand without a visa for as long as 60 days. This measure came into force on September 30, 2023, and it is applicable to Russian citizens who arrived in Thailand on a 30-day visa-free stamp.
The essence of the changes is that Russians who came to Thailand with a vacation plan for a month can now consider staying in this amazing country twice as long without burdening themselves with a visa. The procedure for extending the period of stay is minimized: it is enough to contact the immigration service with a passport and an application. The cost of the service is 1,900 baht, which is approximately $50.
