Cetinje, 04.12 - With the start of the new year, Cetinje, the capital of Montenegro, will take a significant step in improving conditions for families and young parents. Starting from January 1, the city will become the first in Montenegro to provide free kindergartens.

This innovative initiative is included in the draft capital budget for 2024. The mayor of Cetinje, Nikola Djurashkovic, expressed confidence that this decision will not only ease the financial burden for parents, but also make the city even more attractive for families.

The problem of the outflow of young people in Cetinje was a serious concern of the local authorities, and the new program aims to change this trend. From now on, every child of preschool age will be able to attend kindergarten for free, creating a more favorable environment for their growth and development.

The Kindergarten for All program will be financially supported by the city budget. The amount of the allocation, about 260 thousand euros, depends on the number of children who will regularly attend kindergartens. This is an important step to ensure that education is accessible to all segments of society.

Free pre-school education in Cetinje will be a key moment in raising the social standards of the city. Parents will be able to save significant amounts, and children will have the opportunity to start their education in a supportive and stimulating environment.

The economic support included in the budget for 2024 also covers compensation for the costs of artificial insemination. The city continues to demonstrate its concern for citizens by introducing new mechanisms to support citizens and the economy.

These changes will make Cetinje even more attractive for families, creating favorable conditions for the growth of children and a stable future of the city. From January 1, the city will become a pioneer in providing free kindergartens in Montenegro, and this will certainly affect its overall atmosphere and attractiveness to tourists and new residents.
