Documents required to obtain a NIE

How do EU citizens receive NIE?
A citizen from a country that is a member of the European Union can freely and without additional documents enter and reside in Spain for some time. If the period of stay exceeds 3 months, then you need to register for mandatory registration in the registry of foreigners of the Registro Central de Extranjero and get an identification number for the foreigner.
Validity period of the N.I.E certificate
The N.I.E number is assigned once, but the certificate itself has an expiration date. From the date of issue, the N.I.E certificate is valid for 90 days. The number itself is assigned to a non-resident forever, and the certificate must be updated periodically if necessary.
