How to get
Get off at Malostranska metro station (Malostranska, green metro line or trams number 12, 20, 22, 23). The entrance to the Garden is through gate number 25 from Karmelitska Street. The entrance is located near the intersection of Karmelitska and Trziste streets.

Not only the residents of Prague, but also most of the foreign tourists who visited the Vrtbovsky Garden in the Czech Republic consider it the most beautiful Baroque garden in Central Europe. And this despite the fact that the garden occupies a tiny territory (0.31 hectares) and is so well hidden that it is quite problematic to find it.
The garden appeared at the Vrtbovsky Palace in 1720, when the new owner of the estate, Burgrave Jan Joseph Vrtbovsky, decided to set up a garden in the "new spirit" on the site of the old vineyard. He entrusted this work to the architect Kanka, the sculptor Brandl and the artist Reiner. As a result of the work of the then famous masters, the Vrtbovsky Garden in Prague received all the attributes of a Baroque garden: hedges, flower beds, terraces, sculptures, elegant stairs and railings.
Nowadays, the garden has become a popular place among newlyweds who arrange photo shoots here. Concerts, filming of programs and even corporate parties are often held on the territory of the garden.
