Encuentro Beach is one of the best places in the Dominican Republic for surfing. There are five surf spots with high and stable waves.
The Coco Pipe spot is known for a tube-shaped riffbreak wave that forms during a strong high tide. This wave is actually higher than it looks from the shore.
The other wave, "La Izquierda", that is, the "left", usually begins to twist from two sides and connects in the center. The result is 4-meter long ridges that can appear throughout the day.
A very dangerous "Destroyer" wave is also formed on Encuentro Beach, which, upon reaching a height of 3 meters, breaks on the reef. Waves "Bobo's Point" and "La Derecha" can also form here. That is, in any weather and time of day, you can ride the ridge and enjoy riding.
