Nova vas nad Dragonjo is a picturesque village within the municipality of Piran. It is located on Šavrin Hill at 276 metres above sea level, surrounded to the south by the Dragonja River valley and to the west by the Drnica valley. The road from Sveti Peter to Šmarje passes through the village. On the southwestern slope of the Šavrin Hills, near the top of the ridge, lie the hamlets of Kortine and Čehuti, and above the village is Burđi. This is an excellent starting point for cycling and hiking, an oasis of peace and natural beauty.
