A weekend bus has been launched in Dubai - Stadium metro with Al Mamzar Beach
Today, on February 14, 2024, a joyful event took place in Dubai – a new weekend bus route was launched, connecting the Stadium metro station with the picturesque Al Mamzar Beach. This W20 route, which provides amazing prospects for recreation and entertainment, has become a real gift for tourists and citizens.
The W20 route, launched by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority, began its work today and will operate every Friday to Sunday from 17:00 to 23:00. This will ensure a permanent connection between the Stadium metro and the beloved Al Mamzar Beach.
During these hours, the route provides departures every half hour, providing convenience and flexibility in planning rest time. In addition, to ensure even greater passenger comfort, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority has optimized several other urban bus routes, including 11B, 16A and 16B.
The changes also affected the renaming of routes 16A and 16B, which are now designated as Routes 16 and 25, respectively. In addition, the F62 bus will make additional stops in the Dubai Festival City and Al Garhoud districts, while routes 103 and 104 will run non–stop to the multicultural Global Village Family Park, and C04 to the Mohammed bin Rashid Library.
This initiative aims to create additional opportunities for residents and visitors of Dubai, allowing them to enjoy their days off comfortably and without unnecessary worries about transport accessibility.
Tourists are also provided with unique opportunities to save money on trips around the city. They remembered the existence of free buses heading to the main attractions, where there are no metro stations. Thus, walking around the city has become even easier and more accessible.
Free shuttle buses run regularly from Dubai Mall Metro Station to the City Walk Design district every 30 minutes from 08:00 to 19:00. Buses in the opposite direction depart from City Walk (stop opposite Urth Cafe) every 30 minutes from 08:30 to 19:30.
Tourists can also take advantage of the free shuttle service from The Gardens and Energy metro stations to the Festival Plaza shopping and entertainment complex, which includes an IKEA hypermarket, many shops and cafes.
Shoppers have the opportunity to travel free of charge from various areas such as JBR, Al Barsha, Burj Khalifa and The Palm Jumeirah to The Dubai Hills Mall, where a variety of shops and restaurants await them.
A similar service operates in the Jumeirah Beach Residences (JBR) area: for those who wish to visit The Beach, free transfers from hotels located in the Barsha Heights area, etc. are also provided.
These new and improved opportunities to move around the city make Dubai an even more attractive destination for tourists and residents. With travel savings and increased accessibility, everyone can easily enjoy everything this amazing city has to offer.
