Once on vacation, Peter was faced with a phenomenal consumption of 80 thousand gallons, which is 250 times higher than the average consumption of 60 gallons.
Another high-profile case happened to David Richard Spurs, who also lives in Damac Hills 2. After returning from summer vacation, he received a bill from Dewa for a total of 20,179 dirhams, of which 16,992 dirhams were attributed to the water consumption service. Over the course of a month, a water leak due to a ruptured pipe in the garden resulted in a total consumption of an impressive 319,200 gallons, equivalent to half of an Olympic swimming pool.
Other residents were not ignored either. F. Abdullah, who received a bill for 6 thousand dirhams in one month, expressed her concern on social networks. These cases have caused excitement and heated discussion among local residents, emphasizing the need for careful monitoring of water costs.
In response, Damac Properties actively took the initiative. The company regularly communicates with residents, providing recommendations and advice. She calls for annual maintenance and regular inspections of water supply systems to prevent similar incidents in the future. Special attention is paid to closing the water supply taps during the absence of residents.
