Bali will improve the quality of tourist taxis
Bali, Indonesia - The government of Bali has begun to solve a long–term problem that has long worried tourists and locals - the quality of tourist taxis. With the limited availability of public transport and the growing popularity of online taxi applications, the issue of safety and quality of transport is becoming increasingly relevant.
In this context, a strong initiative was taken by the Government of Bali. A newly created transport consortium called "Kreta Bali Smitha" unites the efforts of the Government of Bali, Perumda (organization for the development of digital tourism), as well as the international auditing company PT TÜV Rheinland Indonesia and DPD Organa Bali in cooperation with PT Indo Trans Teknologi, or TransTRACK.
The aim of this consortium is to improve tourist transport in Bali, improve safety and service, and create common standards for all taxi service providers on the island.
The taxi industry in Bali faced the problem of poor quality of service, which negatively affected the reputation of the island as a tourist destination. The consortium "Kreta Bali Smitha" focuses on the accreditation of drivers and transport service providers, and also conducts audits of all organizations with three levels of taxi classification: "Silver", "Gold" and "Platinum".
Each taxi that has been accredited will be included in a centralized fleet management system. This means that the Bali government will oversee all providers of tourist transport services, including both large taxi companies and individual drivers.
Tourist taxis will be divided into categories depending on the level of service, the quality of vehicles and their impact on the environment. Platinum category taxis will be required to use environmentally friendly and renewable energy sources, such as electric vehicles and other environmentally sustainable options.
Taxi audits and labeling will be carried out regularly, ensuring reliability and safety for tourists. Each accredited taxi will have a sticker "Kreta Bali Smitha" with information about its accreditation status and a QR code to verify the legality of services.
The consortium "Kreta Bali Smitha" plans to attract more than 12,000 suppliers of tourist transport to the accreditation program. This promises to improve service and safety for everyone visiting the beautiful island of Bali.
The initiative of the Government of Bali to improve the quality of tourist taxis is an important step in the development of tourism on the island. It will provide tourists with safety, convenience and access to high-quality transport services, making trips around the island even more enjoyable.
Innovations are expected in the coming months and will be implemented gradually, the implementation will begin at Bali Airport, which also creates a special area for disembarking tourists using taxi services, including taxis from the GoJek app.
Apparently, the future of tourist transport in Bali will be brighter and safer, which will undoubtedly please those who plan to visit this magical island in the near future.
